Women’s Advantage is a membership-benefit program designed to enhance the health and lifestyle of women of every age. Membership is free. Members enjoy many benefits such as discounted health screenings and monthly women’s health seminars. Shands Arts is Medicine is an internationally recognized program that incorporates specially trained artists and hospital volunteers with patients and their families to enhance the healing process through the use of creative arts. The program encourages self-expression through activities such as the visual arts, dance, music, drama and the literary arts. For more information about AIM, call (352) 733-0880 or e-mail the program director, Tina Mullen, at mullecm@shands.ufl.edu. If you or a family member is a patient at Shands at UF, Shands at AGH or Shands Medical Plaza and would like to interact with an AIM artist, call (352) 733-0880. Leave the name and room number of the patient, and an artist will visit.
