Credentialing & Provider Enrollment

The Credentialing and Provider Enrollment department has the following functions within the Shands HealthCare system:

Assures the Medical Staff at Shands/UF meets its responsibilities as delineated in the policies of the hospital, the Bylaws, Rules & Regulations of the Medical Staff, and other requirements as designated through state and federal legislation, and licensure and accreditation standards.
Assures credentialing verification for all credentialed providers throughout the Shands HealthCare System which meets accreditation and statutory requirements and managed care delegated credentialing agreements, as appropriate.
Assures enrollment of all Faculty Group Practice providers with federal and state payors.
