Tim Day  

Tim Day, PT, MBA, B.E. (Civil), Manager Rehab Services OSMI

Tim is an Australian trained physical therapist with 13 years experience in rehabilitation and preventative conditioning for athletes. He was the physical therapist and strength coach for the Los Angeles Dodgers Minor League system for more than four years prior to joining Shands Healthcare.

Susan Tillman, PT, SCS, CSCS

Susan is a graduate of the University of Florida PT program (BS PT 1993) and is Board Certified in Sports Physical Therapy through the APTA.  She specializes in post-surgical rehabilitation of sports related injuries to the shoulder and knee and is a consultant to the University of Florida athletic association for the treatment of their athletes.  Susan developed and is the coordinator of the Prehab Biomechanical Screening and Analysis Program used by several of the UF athletic teams including football, volleyball, soccer, softball and women’s basketball.  Susan is a lecturer for Musculoskeletal  Disorders class at the University of Florida and has been a
contributing author on 7 peer-reviewed publications,  1 book chapter and multiple abstracts in physical therapy.

Scott Greenberg, DPT, CPed, BS ESS, CSCS  

Scott Greenberg, DPT, CPed, BS ESS, CSCS

Scott earned his DPT from Slippery Rock University and BS in Exercise and Sports Science from the University of Florida.  He has 10 years of sports physical therapy experience specializing in foot/ankle pathology, running biomechanics and orthoses fabrication.  He acts as a foot and ankle consultant to the University of Florida’s Athletic Association and treats professional, collegiate, and high school athletes on a regular basis. He is also a current lecturer for the University of Florida orthopedic physical therapy curriculum.

Ben is a licensed physical therapy assistant with 11 years of experience working in outpatient clinics.  He has 11 years of experience specializing in Aquatic Therapy.

Mike Hodges, MHS, PT, CSCS  

Mike Hodges, MHS, PT, CSCS

Mike is a physical therapist and certified
strength and conditioning specialist with 16 years of experience in outpatient orthopedics.  He specializes in the evaluation and treatment of spinal dysfunctions. In 2004, he earned an Advanced Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Florida with an emphasis in Biomechanics.Additionally, he has served as an adjunct lecturer in Functional Anatomy for the UF DPT program.

Kalpesh Patel, LMT  

Kalpesh Patel, LMT

Kalpesh is a licensed massage therapist with 9 years of clinical experience in pain management and injury recovery.  He specializes in a manual technique derived from Osteopathy called Ortho-Bionomy.  Prior to joining Shands, Kalpesh worked with the VA Medical Center’s Pain Clinic.  He has also worked with professional and Olympic track athletes before and during competitions, including the 2004 US Olympic team trials.

Dalton has over 10 years of orthopedic experience in physical therapy.   He is certified in Kinesiotaping and specializes in Manual Therapy.

Tim Shay

Tim is a physical therapist, Board Certified in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy through the APTA, certified athletic trainer, and certified strength and conditioning specialist.  He has 23 years experience treating a wide variety of orthopedic conditions with a specialty in treating neck, low back and hip patients.  He presently acts as a consultant and provides rehabilitation of athletic populations to the University of Florida Athletic Association.

Sony is a certified athletic trainer, PTA and licensed massage therapist with 9 years of experience working in outpatient clinics and on the field with high school athletes.  She has a broad range of experience with all sports related injuries and runs the “Get Fit for Sport” program.

Brent Williams, PT, CSCS, CCCE  

Brent Williams, PT, CSCS, CCCE

Brent is a physical therapist, certified strength and conditioning specialist and the center coordinator for clinical education.  Since 1997, Brent has evaluated and treated numerous sports and orthopedic related injuries.  He has been with Shands since 2001, where he specializes in the evaluation and rehabilitation of athletic populations with an emphasis on the knee and shoulder. Brent also has a passion for the game of baseball and working with these athletes.  He has several years of coaching experience, and currently coaches at Buchholz High School.  He has also been a speaker at conferences for health care professionals, lecturing on the topic of evaluation and rehabilitation of the baseball player and overhead athlete.

Jason  Goss, PT  

Jason Goss, PT

Jason is a board certified physical therapist with 9 years of experience in Outpatient Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, with a focus on shoulder and knee rehabilitation.  He worked more than 3 years in a clinic specializing in Hand and Upper extremity injuries, including splinting and casting.

Education: BS, PT University of Florida.

Giorgio  Zeppieri Jr., MPT, CSCS*D  

Giorgio Zeppieri Jr., MPT, CSCS*D

Giorgio is a physical therapist and certified strength and conditioning specialist that has been recertified with distinction.  He has over four years of clinical experience and completed a fellowship/residency in orthopedics at the University of Florida.  Giorgio has also served for over two years as a physical therapy consultant for the Cincinnati Reds Minor League Organization.  He specializes in the evaluation and rehabilitation of athletic populations with emphasis on overhead athlete dysfunctions, pitching mechanics, and injury prevention.  He is currently completing his Doctors of Science and manual therapy certification through Andrews University and NAIOMT.  He also has been a part of 5 publications looking at the effects of musculoskeletal dysfunction.

Trevor Lentz, MPT, CSCS  

Trevor Lentz, MPT, CSCS

Trevor received his Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Florida and completed a post-graduate sports residency at the Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Institute. He has presented at the national level on rehabilitation of the shoulder and knee and is currently involved in collaborative research with the University of Florida Department of Physical Therapy on advanced rehabilitation and outcomes following ACL reconstruction.  He has published multiple scientific papers on rehabilitation of shoulder injuries and the post-surgical knee. His areas of clinical focus include rehabilitation of knee and shoulder injuries, including the treatment of overhead throwers. Trevor is also a teaching assistant and guest lecturer in the Physical Therapy Orthopedics curriculum at the University of Florida.

Jude Alcide, PTA

Jude is a licensed physical therapy assistant with two years of experience in skilled nursing facility and outpatient clinics.  He has served as an intern at St. Francis High School, UF University Athletic Association (football), and PK Yonge High School.  Jude has also served as a PTA volunteer with the Special Olympics.

Derek Miles, DPT  

Derek Miles, DPT

Derek is a physical therapist who completed an orthopedic residency at Shands Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute within the last year. He specializes in treatment of spinal dysfunction and hip pathology.

Education: Clemson University - BS degree in Biochemisty; Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Florida.

Amy Borut, MPT  

Amy Borut, MPT

Amy is a licensed PT with over 7 years experience.  She specializes in rehabilitation for the trauma patient as well as Pilates interventions.

Steven Hunter  

Steven Hunter PT, DPT

Steven is a licensed physical therapist completing the APTA accredited Sports Physical Therapy Residency. He has completed and submitted a poster to be considered for presentation at the APTA’s Combined Section Meeting this upcoming year. He hopes to receive his Sports Certified Specialist Certification through the APTA after completing the residency and pursue a career in an athletic setting.

Weiwei Guan  

Weiwei Guan, PT, DPT

Weiwei is a licensed physical therapist completing the Shands Rehab and UF Physical Therapy one-year orthopaedic residency program at OSMI.  She is interested in treating patients with neck, shoulder, hip and low back pain.


Education:  BS in Biomedical Science from University of South Florida; Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Florida.
